Joining MEG will have direct and immediate benefits to your community and will make us a stronger organization in advocating for the interests of municipal wastewater facilities.  You will be adding your voice to over 100 communities to ensure environmentally sound and cost effective solutions to improve water quality.

UP TO DATE INFORMATION

MEG provides a number of opportunities to keep up to date on current regulatory and legislative developments.

  • Monthly Newsletters: Members receive monthly newsletters that help them keep track of current issues of concern to wastewater plants. Members also receive the Informational Bulletin, a report sent out three times a year in conjunction with the MEG Steering Committee meetings, which provides a more comprehensive summary of recent developments.
  • Steering Committee Meeting: MEG Steering Committee meetings, scheduled in January, May and September, are open to all members and offer a great opportunity to speak with others in the industry.  In addition, attending members receive 2 CEU credits and lunch free of charge.
  • MEG Guidance Documents:  Summaries of key developments are provided by MEG legal counsel along with current DNR guidance documents.

INDIVIDUAL PERMIT REVIEW AND RESPONSE TO INQUIRIES 

MEG legal counsel provides free initial permit review services to its members (up to 5 hours) to assist in identifying and developing potential permit issues.  MEG legal counsel is also available to answer quick questions on regulations and policy issues.
